Schedule for the Week:
Wednesday 9/9 - 6:30 - 8:45 pm - RUTL Thursday 9/10 - 6:00 - 7:30 pm - Colorguard Saturday 9/12 – EIU combined RCHS/PMB Day! This is an amazing and unique opportunity for our students! We will be the only high school band that will be sharing the field and performing with the Eastern Illinois University Panther Marching Band for their Pre-Game Concert on the Mellin Steps and at Half–Time of the EIU vs. Indiana State Sycamores! Parents, if you would like drive down and see us perform with the PMB, see the link below for discounted tickets. 10:00 am – RCHS Door A3 open 10:15 am – Load buses/trailer 10:45 am – Depart for EIU 1:30 pm – PMB/RCHS rehearsal in O'Brien Stadium 3:15 pm - Rehearsal ends 3:30 pm - Dinner in Doudna Art Wing 4:30 pm – Marching Comets perform with PMB for Pre-Game Concert on Mellin Steps (North Quad – outside of the music building) 4:50 pm - March to the Stadium with the PMB! 5:05 pm – PMB performs at Tailgate (we will watch) 5:25 pm - In stadium/stands 5:40 pm - Pre-game show (14 of our students will assist with the pre-game show!) 6:00 pm – Kickoff – play in the stands with the PMB!! 7:30 ish pm – Halftime - we play with the PMB! 8:00 ish pm – Depart for RCHS – I will send out a notification on the BAND APP with our arrival time at home 10:30 ish pm – Arrive at RCHS I would suggest you eat a good breakfast and drink water! We will have an early dinner at 3:30 pm. Bring money or card if you would like to purchase snacks/food in the stadium. We will depart after half time. We will NOT be in uniform for this event. You will wear your music tee, black socks, and marching shoes. You must order tickets BEFORE the day of the game to get the discount. If you wait to purchase tickets the day of, you will pay full price. You must choose GA (general admission) seats to get the discount. Students and chaperones do NOT have to pay for tickets. If you plan on driving your child home from the event, you must sign them out with me at the buses. |
